Introduction

As of 2014, there are an estimated 4,200 different religions in the world, In that many has come and expired, today only 11 basic religions are said to be existing, and under it there are different denominations and groups.

The Holy Bible fundamentally rejects and denies all man made religions and gods, and proclaim there is one and only God. No one knows him fully nor ever any human being will fully comprehend him, for scriptures says,

There is not anything in this universe which can fully explain or record his deeds, even Holy Bible is only a “sufficient book” not essentially speaks or gives us the all the knowledge of God!

See what Holy Bible itself says to the reader…

OUTLINE:

  • Lesson 1 – The unsearchable knowlege
  • Lesson 2 – The Invisble Image
  • Lesson 3 – The Dwelling place

Lesson 1

The unsearchable Knowledge

“…Behold, heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain you…”              (1 Kings 8:27)

We cannot number his marvellous works for they are unsearchable  Job 5:9  who does great things and unsearchable, marvelous things without number:

We cannot know his age or beginning for they are unsearchable – Job 36:26  Behold, God is great, and we know him not; the number of his years is unsearchable.

We cannot know all his greatness for they are unsearchable – Psa 145:3  Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable.

We cannot know all his understanding for they are unsearchable – Isa 40:28  Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.

We cannot know all his judgments for they are unsearchable – Rom 11:33  Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!

We cannot find out all his acts from the beginning to the end for they are unsearchable – Ecc 3:11 “He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.”  (ESV)

We cannot find out the limit of almighty for they are unsearchable – Job 11:7 “Can you find out the deep things of God? Can you find out the limit of the Almighty?

Therefore whosoever speaks about this great God must speak in this sense, he must say, all his knowledge about God is very little and God is all-wonderful and unsearchable!

Lesson 2

The Invisible Image of God

His Image is invisible – Who has seen him?

No one has ever seen or can see – “who alone has immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen.”  (1Ti 6:16, ESV)

No one can see him and be alive – But,” he said, “you cannot see my face, for man shall not see me and live.” Exodus 33:20 (ESV)

No one ever seen the only God – “No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father’s side, he has made him known.”  (Joh 1:18, ESV)

He is invisible and the only God – “To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.”  (1Ti 1:17, ESV)

He is Spirit and his seeker must seek him with all his heart and in truth – “ God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” ”  (Joh 4:24, ESV)

Therefore clear commandment is given to follow “Living God”

You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.”  (Exo 20:4, ESV)

“Being then God’s offspring, we ought not to think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and imagination of man.” Acts 17:29

“and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.” Romans 1:23

“Little children, keep yourselves from idols.”  (1Jn 5:21, ESV)

Lesson 3

The dwelling of the Almighty

His dwelling is not earthly – Who has built his Temple?

But who is able to build him a house, since heaven, even highest heaven, cannot contain him? Who am I to build a house for him, except as a place to make offerings before him?              2 Chronicles 2:6 (ESV) Also see 1 Kings 8:27; 2 Chronicles 6:18

“Thus says the LORD: “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool; what is the house that you would build for me, and what is the place of my rest?”  (Isa 66:1, ESV)

The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man,”  (Act 17:24, ESV)

Yet the Most High does not dwell in houses made by hands, as the prophet says Acts 7:48   (ESV)

We do not need expensive temples or buildings

Therefore clear guidance is given for his followers – We don’t need expensive temples or buildings!

Because the Church is not place but people! God’s people are his church not the building built by human hands.

“Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God, which he obtained with his own blood.”  (Act 20:28, ESV)

Not the building or any holy place christ blood purchased but the dying sinners! We as christ followers, do not believe in any holy place on the earth, because there is none! for Holy Bible says in 1Cor. 3:16, We are his temple and his Spirit dwells in us!

“Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?” (ESV)

Then why world hates and persecute us? Following is one of the cause;

“For a man named Demetrius, a silversmith, who made silver shrines of Artemis, brought no little business to the craftsmen.

These he gathered together, with the workmen in similar trades, and said,

“Men, you know that from this business we have our wealth. And you see and hear that not only in Ephesus but in almost all of Asia this Paul has persuaded and turned away a great many people,

saying that gods made with hands are not gods. And there is danger not only that this trade of ours may come into disrepute but also that the temple of the great goddess Artemis may be counted as nothing, and that she may even be deposed from her magnificence, she whom all Asia and the world worship.”

When they heard this they were enraged and were crying out, “Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!””  (Act 19:24-28, ESV)

conclusion

“For although there may be so-called gods in heaven or on earth—as indeed there are many “gods” and many “lords”— yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.”  (1Co 8:5-6, ESV)

” And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. ”  (Joh 17:3, ESV)
